As its contribution to the Mastheads Project, the local poetry organization WordXWord has challenged 10 poets to create original work inspired by excerpts from Hawthorne, Holmes, Longfellow, Melville, and Thoreau. The poets will present their work at Arrowhead on July 11.

WordXWord uses spoken word, poetry and storytelling in shared space and time to celebrate diversity and creativity, empower the individual, foster understanding and empathy, and make real human connections.
